Dr. Hassan Batayneh, a neurologist specializing in epilepsy, sleep and neuromuscular disorders joins Sunrise Medical Group

Sunrise Medical Group (SMG) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Hassan Batayneh, a triple board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist, to the SMG network.  Dr. Batayneh specializes in epilepsy, sleep disorders and studies, neuromuscular disorders, EEG/EMG studies, intraoperative monitoring, evoked potential studies and clinical neurophysiology.  His practice is based in Tamarac and he is on staff at Florida Medical Center, a campus of North Shore.  He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Prior to joining SMG, Dr. Batayneh served as a hospitalist at both Maryvale Hospital and Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and as a staff physician at Physicians’ Medical Center of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Arkansas.  He completed fellowships in both neurophysiology and sleep medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.  Prior to his fellowship training, Dr. Batayneh completed a neurology residency program at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and internal medicine residencies at Wayne State University – Detroit Medical Center, and Jordanian University Hospital in Amman, Jordan.  Dr. Batayneh graduated medical school from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan.

Dr. Batayneh has conducted several different research studies and has been published in numerous scientific publications on topics relating to neurology and internal medicine.  He is a member of the Advanced Neuroscience Network, an integrated delivery system of medical professionals and hospitals focused on offering a full continuum of neurological care throughout South Florida.  Dr. Batayneh has been practicing medicine since 1999.
