Sleep Services

At Sunrise Medical Group Sleep Diagnostics, we provide different sleep studies for both children and adults who are in need.

Pediatric Sleep Disorder Lab
During a pediatric sleep study, a child’s sleep patterns are monitored throughout the night. Once the study is complete, our team will review the results of the study and confirm a diagnosis. If treatment is necessary, we will coordinate with the child’s physician to determine the next steps.

Adult Sleep Disorder Lab
Adult sleep disorder studies at our certified sleep lab are only available by referral from a physician. The patient’s sleep patterns are monitored throughout the night and after reviewing the test results, our physicians will collaborate with the referring physician to determine the best sleep plan for each patient.

Sleep Studies:
Sleep studies are tests that measure how well you sleep and how your body responds to sleep problems. These tests can help your doctor find out whether you have a sleep disorder and how severe it is. We perform these tests in a comfortable setting with experienced staff who help you throughout the entire process.
*Available for adults and children.

Multiple Sleep Latency Test:
The Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) measures excessive daytime sleepiness by measuring how quickly you fall asleep in a quiet environment during the day. Also known as a daytime nap study, the MSLT is the standard tool used to diagnose narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia. This study requires you to sleep at the center the night before the study.
*Available for adults and children.

Maintenance of Wakefulness Test:
The Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) is a way to evaluate the ability to stay awake during the day. This is used regularly for employers of truck drivers or other positions where the employee needs to remain attentive throughout the day. You will not have to sleep at the center the night before this study.

Positive Airway Pressure Naps:
The Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) Nap is a daytime, abbreviated study to acclimate insomnia patients with sleep-disordered breathing to positive airway pressure. The testing lasts approximately 4 hours and you are asked to arrive at the lab sleepy.

Home Sleep Studies:
A Home Sleep Test (HST) is a modified sleep study that is performed in the comfort of your own home with a portable monitor. HST is used only to look for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Some insurances require this study prior to an in-lab study.

Sleep Clinic Visits:
A Sleep Clinic is an outpatient location where people with sleep disorders can seek advice, arrange diagnostic tests and pursue treatment of their condition.
*Available for adults and children.
